Pioneer Iron & Steel

A claim in Hong Kong by the liquidator of Pioneer against its sole former director and shareholder in relation to the ownership of valuable company assets. 

BT

An antitrust class action brought on behalf of 2.3 million consumers (many old and vulnerable) who BT are alleged to have overcharged between 2015 and 2018.

RBS

A class action brought by 6 large shareholders against RBS in relation to a rights issue which was based on untrue or misleading statements made in its investment prospectus.

Rockhopper

An arbitration against the Italian state for the forfeiture of valuable oil exploration licenses previously granted to Rockhopper Exploration plc.

Brambles

A shareholder class action against Brambles Limited for allegedly providing misleading sales and profit forecasts without a reasonable basis to do so. 

Ford Motor Co.

A class action against Ford Motor Company in relation to the sale and leasing of various vehicles on the basis of allegedly misleading fuel consumption representations.

Mercedes

A UK consumer case against Mercedes for its use of illegal emissions-cheating devices.

Lendlease

A shareholder class action against Lendlease Group for allegedly misleading the market in relation to problems within its Engineering and Services Business.

Hiscox

A class action against Hiscox for their refusal to pay hundreds of claims brought under business interruption insurance policies.

Valeant Pharma

A Canadian class action against Valeant Pharmaceuticals in relation to the sale of a product allegedly in contravention of consumer protection legislation.

Oz Minerals

A class action against Oz Minerals Limited in relation to its alleged failure to abide by various continuous disclosure rules.

AMP Super

A class action against AMP pension fund due to various alleged breaches of obligations which saw superannuation members overcharged on administration fees.   

Marriott

A representative action against Marriott International for their failure to safeguard the personal data of tens of millions of guests. 

Bank of Asia

A claim by a senior banking executive, arising out of the disputed shareholdings of the Bank of Asia.

Montara

A class action by 15,000 Indonesian seaweed farmers against a Thai oil company following an oil spill in the Timor Sea in 2009.  

Sotheby’s

A professional negligence claim against Sotheby’s for its alleged failure to identify the true provenance of a painting sold at auction.

Uber

A class action by the taxi, hire-car, limousine and charter vehicle industry following Uber’s entry into the Australian market in 2012. 

KK Group

A claim by Kazakhstan Kagazy against its former directors and shareholders following the revelation of a large-scale fraud. 

Roadchef

A claim by Roadchef employee members of their employee benefits trust against the trustees of another Roadchef trust in relation to the misappropriation of share options by the former Chief Executive of Roadchef.

CIMIC

A claim by CIMIC’s shareholders following allegations of bribery and corruption which caused Cimic’s share price to crash.
