Harbour is a founding member of the Association of Litigation Funders (ALF), the self-regulatory body responsible for third party litigation funding in England & Wales.
The ALF’s Code of Conduct was published by the Civil Justice Council – an agency of the UK’s Ministry of Justice – in November 2011. It was approved by Lord Justice Jackson and commended by the Chair of the Civil Justice Council,
Lord Neuberger of Abbotsbury, the then Master of the Rolls.
The Code sets out clear and important rules governing the relationship between a third-party funder and its client on issues such as capital adequacy, case control, settlement and termination. As a responsible funder, Harbour adopts the ALF’s Code of Conduct and undertakes to comply with it at all times.
